After the last four games, I think Frost should get another year

At first blush, this sounds odd since I have long been a critic of Frost, and the Huskers have gone 1-3 in the last four games. But wins and losses, despite the boomer clichés (“you are what your record is”), simply aren’t the only way to assess a team’s progress. In the last four games, the quality of play has improved so dramatically (keeping up with OU, outplaying* MSU and Michigan, and routing Northwestern) so as to change my mind about what should be done with Frost.

Of course, I could turn on frost again depending on what happens in what should be wins for Nebraska against Minnesota and Purdue. And I should hasten to add that next year is the last chance to post a winning record.

*Despite outplaying MSU and Michigan, we lost to the former primarily because of self-inflicted mistakes and the latter primarily because of horrible officiating.
