Williams Joins Coatney on Call-In Show

Nebraska Coach Amy Williams will join host Matt Coatney on the Nebraska Women’s Basketball Radio Show tonight on the Huskers Radio Network.

The hour-long show can be heard across the Huskers Radio Network stations and on Huskers.com beginning at 6 p.m. (CT), while fans can join in the conversation by calling in their questions at (402) 413-2400.

The Huskers head into a The Dana on Mission Bay Holiday Tournament in San Diego with a 5-0 record after the most prolific five-game stretch in school history. Nebraska leads the nation in scoring offense (95.6 ppg) and scoring margin (45.6 ppg) along with ranking among the top 20 teams nationally in 20 categories. The Big Red lead the mighty Big Ten in nine categories.

Nebraska will take on 2021 NCAA Tournament qualifier Drexel on Friday at 6 p.m. (CT) in San Diego, before battling either the hosts from San Diego or 2021 WNIT qualifier and preseason Mountain West Conference favorite Fresno State on Saturday.

Coach Williams and Coatney are also expected to be joined for a segment on the show by special guest Megan Kahn – who was introduced as the new Big Ten Vice President of Women’s Basketball on Nov. 18. Kahn’s post is the first senior-level position at the Big Ten Conference dedicated specifically to the growth of women’s basketball.

Tuesday’s show will be the first regular-season show for Coach Williams. She joined Coatney – the voice of Nebraska Women’s Basketball – for a preseason radio show on Nov. 3.

Coach Williams is set to appear on a full slate of Nebraska Women’s Basketball Radio Shows with Coatney during the month of December.
