Why Bryson Webber is a great get for Nebraska Football

Nebraska had some great news to kick off the week as we get closer to watching some college football with the announcement that Bryson Webber is on board with the Huskers.

Webber is a rangy athlete with a great tackle radius and a knack for being in the right place at the right time.

This 6-2 175lb defensive back out of Texas fits how Rhule likes to recruit with physical traits trumping other characteristics. Being longer allows him to change positions depending on how his frame handles the strength and conditioning aspect of college life to see where he ends up.

Texas is a hotbed of talent and Rhule continues to make inroads with players who will add valuable depth in a vital position in the attritional Big Ten conference. Tony White has turned this Husker team into a great tackling team and Webber looks great at making open-field tackles.

The past week has been quite turbulent with the resignation of defensive backs coach Evan Cooper and the hiring of Buffalo Bills defensive backs coach John Butler. This coaching change so close to the start of the season didn’t seem to sway Webber who is in the boat for what is turning out to be a very talented recruiting class.
