What’s with all the EA Sports coverage?

I subscribe to The Athletic, and it seems there are so many articles referencing EA Sports. I don’t game, so I don’t get why this is such a huge deal.

“EA Sports releases top 25 QBs”

“Arch Manning opts into College Football 25”

“College Football 25: Revisiting the West Virginia cheat code”

“EA Sports’ toughest places to play”

And several others. I don’t get it. I mean am I supposed to take seriously in what stadiums EA Sports thinks are the hardest to play? There must be a market for it, but what relevance is this to real CFB? Seems like it would be better off in a gaming magazine. Is this just off-season filler?
