“I’m trying to think of the three penalties back to back. All I know is to have that many penalties, that’s a lot of holding penalties. When you’re rushing the football and doing what they were doing, the same thing, so you can’t judge it until you watch the film to see what actually happened. When you’re rushing a football, guess what? Everybody’s holding on every down. Then it determines who’s calling it and where it comes from. It’s who’s carrying the flag and who’s throwing it.”

“I think it’s awesome. We got an A.D. from Nebraska, so I can tell that you’ve got a ton of pride out here. I’ve been to Kinnick. I’ve been at Kinnick, I’ve been at Jack Trice, I’ve been at BYU. Man, I’ve been to these places. You’ve got a lot of pride here, and traditional pride around here. And your state is like our state. You love your school, and everybody grows up a Husker fan. When our guys come down here, absolutely, it was a big deal for them to come here and to be accepted here and to play here. You’ve got a neat thing going. The challenge was to come in here and go toe to toe with you. And I thought we did that.”

“I just rolled my ankle a little bit. We have a great training staff, so I’ll be good. Just get in there as much as I can, let them go to work. We’ll be good. I just tweaked it a little bit.”

“They had a great box, a great front seven, so we found a lot of success running the ball that first time, hitting a couple RPOs. They’re a good football team. They’ve got great coaches. They adjusted and won a lot of man on the perimeters and made it harder on us in the box. They are a great football team.”

“We can run the ball on anybody, so compliments to them, getting the pass game going and the RPOs going. I think that is going to be huge for us, especially coming up here and going into conference play.”

“It was really fun. A lot of family and friends were able to come to the game, so it’s fun to play in front of them. It was a really unique experience, for sure, being able to represent Woodbine.”

“We marched the field that first drive for sure, but I felt like we moved the ball every drive, we just had critical errors at the wrong time. So we’ll get back and clean those up. I think that was just our biggest thing to work on going forward.”

“I’m not a fan of moral victories. We lost a game at the end of the day, and we came here to win. That was our goal. All summer, we talked about it and we still lost. There’s some positives we’ll take away on film. There’s positives in every game, but in a game you lose, there’s gonna be a lot more things to correct than to go home and celebrate. That’s what we’ll be focused on this next week.”
