Week 4: Ex-Huskers in the NFL


Here’s a look at how former Big Red players fared this week on the NFL gridiron:

Ameer Abdullah, RB, Raiders: Made three tackles, two solo, on special teams in a win over the Browns.

Maliek Collins, DT, 49ers: Tallied three tackles, 1½ sacks, a tackle for loss and two QB hurries in a win over the Patriots.

Lavonte David, ILB, Buccaneers: Had eight tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble, two tackles for loss and a pass defended in a win over the Eagles. David eclipsed 1,500 tackles in his career and became just the second Bucs player to do so, joining Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks.

Khalil Davis, DT, Texans: Finished with one tackle in a win over the Jaguars.

Nick Gates, C, Eagles: Appeared on two special teams snaps in a loss to the Buccaneers.

Luke Gifford, LB, Titans: Played snaps on special teams but did not record a stat in a win over the Dolphins.

Brenden Jaimes, OG, Chargers: Appeared on three special teams snaps in a loss to the Chiefs.

Cam Jurgens, C, Eagles: Started at center and played 50 snaps against Tampa Bay.







Eagles Buccaneers Football

Trey Palmer, WR, Buccaneers: Caught his first touchdown of the year, a 15-yard toss from Baker Mayfield. Palmer finished with three catches for 26 yards and one punt return for 5 yards before leaving the game with a concussion.

Wan’Dale Robinson, WR, Giants: Made 11 catches for 71 yards in a loss to the Cowboys.







Eagles Buccaneers Football

Ben Stille, DE, Buccaneers: Played just two snaps and made them count, recovering the fumble forced by David against Philadelphia.

Jack Stoll, TE, Eagles: Caught one pass for 4 yards against the Buccaneers.

Cam Taylor-Britt, CB, Bengals: Recorded two tackles and a pass defended in a win over the Panthers.

Travis Vokolek, TE, Cardinals: Played 14 total snaps, but did not record a stat in a loss to the Commanders.

Others of note

Noah Fant, (Omaha South grad), TE, Seahawks: Caught two passes for 26 yards in a high-scoring loss to the Lions.

Harrison Phillips, (Millard West grad), DL, Vikings: Finished with six tackles, two solo, and a QB hit in a win over the Packers.

Greg Zuerlein, (Lincoln Pius X grad), K, Jets: Went 3-for-4 on field goal attempts with a long of 40 yards in a loss to the Broncos. Zuerlein scored all of New York’s points and his lone miss, from 50, would’ve given his team the lead.
