Week 3: Ex-Huskers in the NFL


Here’s a look at how former Big Red players fared this week on the NFL gridiron:

Ameer Abdullah, RB, Raiders: Caught two passes for 13 yards and returned one kickoff for 27 yards in a loss to the Panthers.

Maliek Collins, DT, 49ers: Recorded one tackle, a tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry in a loss to the Rams.

Lavonte David, ILB, Buccaneers: Tallied a season-high eight tackles, three solo, and forced a fumble in a loss to the Broncos.

Khalil Davis, DT, Texans: Finished with one tackle in 22 total snaps in a loss to the Vikings.

Brenden Jaimes, OG, Chargers: Played just two special teams snaps in a loss to the Steelers.

Cam Jurgens, C, Eagles: Saw 72 snaps on offense and two on special teams in a win over the Saints.

Trey Palmer, WR, Buccaneers: Played 17 total snaps but did not record a stat against Denver.

Wan’Dale Robinson, WR, Giants: Caught seven passes for 61 yards in a win over the Browns.

Jack Stoll, TE, Eagles: Recorded a tackle for the punt team against New Orleans.

Cam Taylor-Britt, CB, Bengals: Finished with four tackles, three solo, in a loss to the Commanders.

Others of note

Noah Fant, (Omaha South grad), TE, Seahawks: Hauled in six catches for 60 yards in a win over the Dolphins.

Harrison Phillips, (Millard West grad), DL, Vikings: Recorded a solo tackle and a pass deflection in a win over the Texans.

Greg Zuerlein, (Lincoln Pius X grad), K, Jets: Went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts with a long of 28 and was a perfect 3-for-3 on PAT kicks in a win over the Patriots.
