We are who we thought we were

We are who we thought we were: a perennial powerhouse volleyball school. Sure we have a ton of different sports at Nebraska that have their own ups and downs, but we do not have another sport as consistent as our volleyball program. Our basketball program will probably get to a point of competency, just not this year. Our football program will probably get to a point of competing for conference championships, just not this year. What I can say for certain is our volleyball program is going to be performing at a high level every year under John Cook. Volleyball recruits typically commit three to four years before they end up here. We know exactly what top level talent is in the pipeline years in advance.

Basketball is the most fickle. You can have entire new unrecognizable teams each year with the amount of transfers taking place. Good luck maintaining any consistency with that.
