We need to take a moment to appreciate the fact that we were not let down once again this season on making the postseason.

The Huskers have had plenty of letdowns throughout the years, especially last football season. After starting 5-3, everyone thought we were a lock for a bowl game, and we all know how that turned out. I've been burnt so many times that I had almost zero confidence this team would win enough to make it. This feels like the first time in quite a while when we were on the bubble / in the hunt for a postseason, and the team didn't fall apart or go on a losing skid.

If we were ever bounced off the bubble, this would be the year to have it happen, considering how wild the conference tournaments played out, with so many bid stealers and bubble teams losing their bids. It was cathartic to read all the posts about which bubble teams should or shouldn't qualify for the tournament, and not see the Huskers be brought up.

It's been ten years since the Huskers have made march madness and seven years since they made a bowl game. Let's not take this for granted or get too caught up in the A&M drama with Alberts.
