Volleyball Spring Match to be Televised on Nebraska Public Media

The Nebraska Volleyball program and Nebraska Public Media announced on Friday that the Huskers’ April 23 spring match against Kansas will be televised statewide on Nebraska Public Media and streamed online at nebraskapublicmedia.org.

This marks the first time in program history that the Nebraska volleyball spring match will be televised.

In addition to television coverage, the match will air on select Huskers Radio Network affiliates, Huskers.com and on the official Huskers mobile app.

The Huskers and Jayhawks will square off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Tickets for the match went on sale on March 10 and approximately 6,000 tickets were sold out within 10 minutes. The Huskers will also sign autographs after the match.

Nebraska last played in Grand Island in the 2015 spring season, sweeping Kansas State in front of a crowd of 6,006 at the Heartland Events Center. NU also played in Grand Island in 2011, topping Wichita State 3-2 in front of a packed house of 5,522.

The Huskers are coming off a 26-8 season (15-4 Big Ten) and NCAA Final appearance.
