Trey Kissack and Gareth Stroh each earned Big Ten Distinguished Scholar accolades, as the conference announced its honorees on Wednesday.
Kissack, who made six relief appearances on the mound during a shortened 2020 campaign, is majoring in psychology and sociology. A transfer from UNC-Greensboro, Kissack earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2020 and is a three-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll member.
Stroh, who started two games on the mound before the season was cut short, also earned Academic All-Big Ten accolades in 2020. He is a three-time honor roll member.
To be eligible for Big Ten Distinguished Scholar selection, student-athletes must be a recipient of Academic All-Big Ten recognition in the previous academic year, must have been enrolled full-time at the institution for the entire previous academic year and earned a minimum GPA of 3.70 or better during the previous academic year.
