Thursday Flakes: Starting Quarterbacks, More Football, Baseball, and Another Bad Joke

We are officially into college football’s week 0. Florida State and Georgia Tech will be playing in Ireland (hopefully someone attempts an onside kick when unnecessary) and I will be playing in a golf tournament in 100 degree weather. Seriously, it’s been gorgeous in Lincoln all damn week and THIS is how the weekend treats me?! Usually the Husker home opener is the day where everyone sweats like Brett Bielema staring at a pork tenderloin, but the weather could be favorable next week…maybe.

I could not have gotten better news this week from a football standpoint, as both the Huskers and Denver Broncos have officially named a starting quarterback (see below). As for the “other football”, any time you feel like signing someone in this transfer window Liverpool go right the hell on ahead. I’m not bitter, just sick of gnawing on my fingernails.

Peruse the headlines, and don’t forget to read my weekly terrible joke, as another installment of “What the Hell is wrong with you” awaits at the bottom. Enjoy the tasty flakes.

“Aaron Judge always acts with kindness and respect. The coach could learn a lot from him.”

And now for the bad joke of the week: What’s the difference between a bad golfer and a bad skydiver? The bad golfer goes “whack, damn!” while a bad skydiver goes “damn, whack!”
