Hey guys I just had some small stuff, it’s nothing new just a bunch of things added together for people who might be outta the loop. Yes, I’m the guy that said Nebraska will be a threat next year and I stand by that. Anyways….
What’s going with Dylan everyone wants to know why hasn’t he committed? Why is he still committed to Georgia? What’s going on? Why is everyone saying 90% Nebraska? I thought McCord was coming they said 100% on him? What happened? I’ve been getting some DM’s and i’m sorta tired of explaining everything so I’ll tell you all some tea. Again this is stuff that is already all out in the news if you look hard enough but we’ll put it here for people to point at and if things change we’ll know VERY SOON.
So, from my understanding is Raiola is coming to visit this weekend, not for a normal visit he has seen this campus a million and 2 times. He doesn’t need to come here to make his choice he is coming here to film a commitment video as well as talk NIL and expectations with the staff nothing is set in stone as Nebraska has the chance to royally mess this up ala Georgia but I highly doubt they will for a couple reasons.
1. His dad is an Alum and one that is highly regarded and loves this program he’s not gonna do anything that hurts Nebraska more esp while they are down.
2. Nebraska has gotten a lot of extra NIL we were expecting to bag both McCord and Raiola(I’ll get into more on why McCord didn’t wanna come here but this one is more speculation as no one has really said anything from McCords camp)
Another thing that makes this real is that he’s supposed to be at Georgia tmw for bowl prep. That is a big sign that if he shows up in Lincoln it’s a done deal and tmw we will finally have the info. He might not commit or decommit till a later time but we will know if he’s on campus.
Another ANOTHER thing is there is MULTIPLE big name sources that have reported that he has recently followed a lot of the Nebraska staff and WR’s on twitter aswell as apparently creating a group text with him telling the Nebraska WR’s he’s coming to Nebraska. This is what caused all the eye emoji’s on twitter from the players.
As for McCord this is speculation but it’s obvious he didn’t wanna compete at Ohio State. The McCords did know of Raiola before their visit and it seemed like they were okay with it, I mean after all they still took the visit. This is why sites had him as surely N. Not to mention his other offers are well…. lackluster. But after the news broke that Raiola was seriously looking to flip I think it made him a bit nervous. Again this is a player that left Ohio State because he didn’t wanna compete. His dad is also really big in his life to make sure he makes the best choices for himself and that’s a good thing for McCord. But it also means that sometimes the 50/50 chances are not gonna be 50/50 with dad in the picture as his dad will want 90-10 chances.
Now, let’s talk Raiola and “commitment issues” I think that’s plaguing a lot of fans, could Raiola come here and leave next year? It’s possible I don’t think anyone has an answer for that. But I wouldn’t use his decommitments against him.
At Ohio State they brought in another a QB to compete with Dylan and were talking to Air Nolan before he decommitted. This is a sign that Dylan would have to spend his whole career competing. I don’t think the Raiola’s are scared to compete in fact I think they are so confident in their ability that they don’t see a need for it but this could be wrong.
The Georgia thing isn’t really about NIL from what I hear but rather a lot of the plans that Georgia had told him had just changed last minute. Georgia didn’t expect Beck to come back and if Beck does come back he’d be named the starter with no comp from the rooks. It also eats into an NIL figure that Raiola was given and Georgia couldn’t give him a fair time table of their choice of Becks return(aka before signing day) The ship seems to have sailed on Raiola and Georgia he won’t be with the team for bowl prep tmw and he will likely be in Lincoln expect the decommitment tmw but it could drag out. Georgia has started to go after other young talent in the portal to fill that spot making this sound like Georgia is out on Raiola.
Again, tomorrow will tell us everything we need to know. If he shows up to Georgia for bowl prep then we know he’s staying if he comes to Lincoln there is almost a certainty that he’s a Husker. Can things change? 100% but with his dad being an Alum and us losing McCord and Kaelin in favor of Raiola you gotta think he isn’t gonna let the cookies crumble.
Another note, Kaelin isn’t gone yet but i’m hearing it’s very unlikely he returns. I’ve got some RUMORS that his own HS WR’s he played with didn’t actually think super highly of him after this year and were much more excited for Raiola than him. You gotta feel for the kid. His own teammates and everyone turning their back on him. I hope he comes and competes. Raiola is a 3 year kinda player and you never know where he’ll be in a year or two. While Danny in 2-3 years could get enough time to compete. He’s accurate that’s something we could use.
PSA: Things do change, all these reports are not from me they are from all over the internet from people with much bigger sources and followings I thought I’d just update people here who were excited. Don’t react till it’s done.
Other recruiting and portal news… We’re not getting Princely, There is some peer recruiting for Brandon Baker but that’s all I really know, Flemmings is likely going to Penn State. Demas is all over the place and I have no idea what he is doing likely just trolling the Huskers.
