The Path Ahead

We have a manageable schedule next year. Give Frost one more year, see what he can do with it. If we’re going to have a winning season, I see the following needing to happen:

– Keep Frost.

– Fire Verduzco. The quarterback situation is a sh&% show at the moment. Adrian is almost more uncomfortable in the pocket now than he was a freshman and he continues to make the same mistakes.

– Fire Held. Like, WFT is our running back room right now? Why was Stepp in the game late against Ohio State when he hadn’t played in like 4 weeks? Why do we have a different running back every week? Why did you bring in a dude from the portal who was injured? Why did Yant come into fall camp 25 pounds over weight? What is going on?

– Look to the Portal for a transfer quarterback if Adian leaves. Clearly Smothers ain’t it if we’re more comfortable letting Adrian throw four picks with an ankle sprain and broken jaw. If Aidrian stays, I’d be curious to see if he improves with a new QB coach.

– Look to the portal for a punter. Doesn’t even have to be good, just an average one will do!

– Look to the portal for a field goal kicker. They don’t even have to be good, just an average one will do!

I see 7, maybe 8 wins next year if we can do these things.
