The 21 day “sit out” period after a positive case could provide a good incentive to take precautions seriously

Regardless of the health perspective or morality or fairness of the rule, just looking at the rule in terms of “how will this rule affect athlete behavior” it’s plausible to me that this rule could cause players to become very strict about not contracting the virus. I happen to think it’s a bit unfair but I’m happy football is back so I won’t be doing much complaining.

I do hope there is a protocol in place for determining if a player has gotten a false positive test because they could potentially lose close to half of their season as a result.
