So… I’m reading Sipple’s column today. Frost is feeling it?

Frost was explaining how he felt disconnected from the team and with all the Covid crap going on and the no spring ball and all that kinda using all that as and excuse for the team performance last season*.

Yeah, it sucks that the Huskers were the only team dealing with that. Boy, what crappy luck.

DOH!

Oh and he is explaining how the team is going to be more experienced blah blah. It sure is lucky for the Huskers that several key personnel that were expected to move on after completing their eligibility will be coming back making the team even more experienced in some key positions where they need help.

What luck that the Huskers are the only team that will have that advantage!

I don’t mean to be a doomer. I cut my teeth on 80’s misery, and the good times through the 90’s and seeing at least 125 games in memorial stadium over the 20 years I lived in the area with season tickets for the 20 years. I’ve travelled to see every one of Dr. Tom’s national championship games. I’ve been a die hard supporter since 1981. I believe in Frost to get it done because he clearly understands that the culture in Lincoln and the culture of Nebraska and their work ethic is what led to the monumental success they eventually attained.

I’ll give him a few more years to really show significant progress, and that’s ok. I trust the guy. I like his energy. I like his determination. I like that he is a Nebraska kid with a super pedigree in the state and in the program. I like that his mentor is TO. All of it adds up.

What I don’t like is the blowing the smoke up our collective asses that things are going to be different next year because of the collective problems that uniquely affected Lincoln.

They aren’t. Everyone cool down. Don’t get your hopes up.

We’re going to get crushed again.
