Several Huskers Shine In All-Star Games

Six former Husker football players saw action last week in various all-star games highlighting several of the country’s top draft-eligible players. 

Samori Toure shined in the East-West Shrine Bowl for the East team last Thursday in Las Vegas, Nevada. He hauled in five catches on six targets for 32 yards and two touchdowns, pacing all receivers in catches and touchdowns. Both touchdowns came in the fourth quarter from six and 17 yards out. Ben Stille took part in the Shrine Bowl as well, finishing with two tackles and three quarterback hurries, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF). Stille also took part in the Hula Bowl and recorded three tackles with a quarterback hurry.

Cam Taylor-Britt and JoJo Domann competed in the Reese’s Senior Bowl for the American Team last Saturday in Mobile, Alabama. Domann was on the field for 21 snaps according to PFF and recorded two tackles. Taylor-Britt saw action at cornerback, but did not have any passes thrown his way. In the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, Austin Allen brought in one grab for 18 yards while representing the American team. It came on the opening play of the final drive and was his only target of the game. Deontai Williams was the final Husker to represent Nebraska, as he took part in the SPIRAL Tropical Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
