Running Back Mekhi Nelson Commits to Nebraska

Nebraska keeps adding more players!

Mekhi Nelson, a three-star running back out of St. Thomas More high school in Oakdale, Connecticut has already enrolled at Nebraska and will be a part of the class of 2024.

Note that he’s rated a three-star by 247, and basically no one else has rated him because maybe Matt Rhule and EJ Barthel have found a diamond in the rough.

247 has Nelson listed as the 72nd best running back and 8th-best player in Connecticut. Nelson had visited Lincoln on June 18th.

Nebraska didn’t pick up a running back for the 2024 class, so Nelson makes up for that miss. Despite the miss, our beloved Huskers have a lot of options in the backfield.

Rahmir Johnson, Gabe Ervin, Emmett Johnson, Kwinten Ives, Maurice Mazzccua, and Dante Dowdell – look at that list of names.
