Reports: Nebraska DT Aaron Curry transferring to Oklahoma

Nebraska’s defense is expected to be the biggest strength of the team, and part of the reason was the depth of its front seven. On Monday it appears that the depth will take a hit as reports indicate junior defensive tackle Aaron Curry is set to transfer from the program.
In a less-than-shocking moment, the reports also indicate that Curry will head to Oklahoma…a team where transfers are apparently welcome with open arms. Curry is joined by another defensive lineman from Tulsa and the biggest offseason transfer of them all, wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham from Missouri.
The good news for Curry is that he’ll be able to play two years while sitting out this upcoming season, as he is a true junior and never used his redshirt season.
The bad news for Nebraska is that they are losing a player with a ton of experience. After all, Curry did start eight games last season and made 26 tackles, three tackles for loss and had two sacks to his name.
