Here are a couple of quick highlights:

* Michigan and Nebraska have similar strengths so far this year, particularly in each’s ability to run the football (they’re the top two teams in the Big Ten in terms of yards per game) and in defending the run.

“I think the run game is probably the key to this game,” Frost said. “They want to run it. We want to run it. They want to stop it. We want to stop it. The team that gets behind and has to throw probably isn’t in a good spot, so we have to do everything we can up front on offense and defense.”

* Frost said he’s expecting the environment Saturday night at Memorial Stadium to be every bit as good or even better than it was last week against Northwestern.

* The head coach said it was good to have freshman tight end Thomas Fidone back at practice and said, even though Fidone, who tore his ACL back in April, has some rust to knock off, he jumped back in and is working hard.
