Quick note on the sensationalized title rule

We’re seeing a big uptick in posts not following this rule. While we want to be understanding, whenever we start to get lax on a rule, it just goes off the rails pretty quickly.

Please keep in mind that if you’re posting a tweet, someone should be able to know what the tweet says. Whether that’s the exact tweet, or an informative paraphrase.

If it’s an article, the exact title in this case is ok. Otherwise, a paraphrase of what the article is about is fine too.

If it’s a question or discussion post, a relevant title so people know what it is about.

We’ve let things go because we can’t watch the sub 24/7, but even if a post has gained a bunch of upvotes and conversation, we’re going to start removing them all. It’s not fair if the only ones that get removed are ones we happen to see within a short time frame of being posted.
