15 former Huskers saw action in the 16th week of the NFL season last weekend, with a pair of former Huskers having career days on Sunday.
Rex Burkhead rushed for a career-high 149 yards on 22 carries and had two touchdowns while averaging 6.8 yards per carry in Houston’s 41-29 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Defensively, Dicaprio Bootle led the Kansas City defense with a career-high eight tackles in the Chiefs’ 36-10 victory against Pittsburgh on Sunday.
On special teams, Sam Koch punted three times for a total of 133 yards, averaging 44.3 yards per punt. Koch pinned the Bengals inside the 20 once and had his longest punt of the game at 47 yards.
Brett Maher made a 38-yard field goal for the Saints against Miami, and Ameer Abdullah returned three kicks for 76 yards in Carolina’s loss vs. Tampa Bay on Sunday.
