After a week off, it’s back to business. Nebraska football is trekking over to Indiana to take on the unbeaten Hoosiers in a game that’s getting plenty of national attention.
GAME PICKS
Indiana hasn’t trailed all season. How long does Nebraska hold a lead, if at all?
Amie Just, columnist: After opening drive, late in fourth quarter.
Luke Mullin, reporter: Nebraska leads for seven minutes, all in the fourth quarter.
Nate Head, editor: Huskers pull ahead early or midway through the third quarter and hold on from there.
How does Nebraska fare when running the ball?
Just: Decent, but not where the Huskers aspire to be.
Mullin: Dante Dowdell gets bottled up early, but the Huskers break through late and run for 175 yards.
Head: Dante Dowdell beats up the Hoosiers with interior runs in the first half, and Emmett Johnson breaks off a run of at least 25 yards in the second half.
Predict the biggest play of the day for the Nebraska offense.
Just: 50-plus yard bomb from Dylan Raiola to Jaylen Lloyd.
Mullin: A Dylan Raiola pass to Jacory Barney which goes for 50-plus yards, but Barney is shoved out before the goal line.
Head: Early in the third quarter, Dylan Raiola finds Jahmal Banks for a touchdown on third down as the Huskers score six instead of relying on a field goal attempt.
How does Nebraska’s day look on special teams?
Just: Brian Buschini does fine, but the rest of the special teams will leave points on the table.
Mullin: Nebraska goes 1-for-2 on field goals, protects Brian Buschini and avoids the catastrophic errors.
Head: It’d be easier to predict the weather. But let’s say John Hohl goes 1-for-2 on field goals and is clean on extra points.
