Ohio State at Nebraska set for 11 am CT on FOX Big Noon Kickoff

The currently No. 5 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes at time of publishing come to Lincoln this next Saturday, Nov. 6 to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers for the final time as a regular cross-over opponent before the six year schedule resets and Michigan replaces them. The game time and broadcast information for the Buckeyes visit has been announced today ahead of the matchup. The kickoff time is officially set for 11 am CT (noon ET) and the game will air on FOX in the network’s premier Big Noon Kickoff slot.

The Huskers are coming off a 28-23 home loss to the Purdue Boilermakers, while the Buckeyes come to town following a difficult but eventually victorious 33-24 home win over the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Buckeyes are now 7-1 (5-0), with the sole loss coming to the Oregon Ducks in an early season matchup in Columbus. After the first College Football Playoff rankings come out this week, they are likely to be somewhere in the top-five with a clear path to what would be the program’s third straight College Football Playoff appearance and fifth overall.

Based on the current future schedules, Nebraska will see Ohio State one more time on Oct. 24, 2024. That game will be another visit by the Buckeyes to Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. The two year gap in 2022-23 between games against OSU will be the longest for Nebraska as a member of the Big Ten since the three year period from 2013-2015 when Nebraska did not play against Ohio State.

The Big Ten schedule currently is released through 2025, though changes are needed for the remaining four years on the calendar to accommodate the home venue switches with Wisconsin and Purdue during the 2020 season. There may also be changes coming based on potential scheduling arrangements with “The Alliance” as well.

Since joining the Big Ten, Nebraska is 1-6 against Ohio State and is 1-2 in Lincoln. The series against OSU dates back to 1955. The Buckeyes lead the all-time series 8-1. The lone win for the Huskers came in 2011 when Ohio State had its first losing season since 1988 and had interim head coach Luke Fickell at the helm. As Big Ten opponents, Nebraska has lost the six games against the Buckeyes since that win by an average of 34.5 points.
