There was a post here on Monday with a stat that originated, I believe, from HuskGuys on Twitter – in 377 plays, the Blackshirts have never been held in 2020. While pretty amazing by itself, I wanted to see just how unique we were across the Big Ten. And sure enough we’re the only team who hasn’t drawn a holding penalty in the conference. Even more incredible, the 377 plays is only passes and rushes defended. When you include special teams, we’ve gone 450 plays without drawing a hold. Offensive holding is a little less common that I would’ve guessed but if we go the final 3 games without a hold were in some pretty rare territory.
