NWU, SCC Partnership to Increase Bachelor Degree Completion

The presidents of Southeast Community College and Nebraska Wesleyan Tuesday signed an agreement for the new Pathways Scholarship Program. SCC Vice President for Program Development Bob Morgan tells KLIN News the program will provide SCC transfer students with financial assistance to get their bachelor’s degree at Nebraska Wesleyan. Morgan says that sixty percent of their students are in the academic transfer program.

Nebraska Wesleyan will give SCC students that transfer in the daytime program up to $15,000 annually off their tuition. The program will also provide financial assistance to Wesleyan’s accelerated degree completion program for working adults.

Morgan says this marks the first partnership for both colleges that provides transfer agreements with scholarship assistance.
