Nebrasketball Recruiting: Keisei Tominaga is N!

Three-point JuCo Sharpshooter Keisei Tominaga commits to be in Lincoln in 2021

Coach Hoiberg picked up a sharpshooter off the number one NJCAA Division 1 program in the country yesterday. Keisei Tominaga is a freshman out of Kakegawa, Japan attending Ranger College in Ranger, Texas. So far this season, he is averaging 15.7 points per game while shooting 50% from three-point range. While there are only statistics available for nine of the team’s eleven games thus far, he has gone 26-52 from three, and 11-11 at the free throw line.

Last year while playing in the 2018 FIBA U18 Asian Championship in Thailand, Tominaga averaged 19.3 points per game, and hit 23 three-pointers in his seven games. Also last year in his high school tournament, he averaged 39.8 points per game, leading his team in scoring en-route to their third place finish over-all.

Keisei Tominaga is 6’1” and plays as a combo guard. He looks to be a great early commitment for the 2021 class if his shooting continues on pace and he adjusts to the American game in its other facets. We look forward to seeing him suit up for the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the future!
