Nebrasketball: Huskers lose a heartbreaker to Kansas 73-72

Husker still have issue with the Jayhawks after all these years.

Nebraska came ready to play and was oh so close to the win before Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk drained a three in the waning seconds of the game to give a 73-72 win to the visiting Jayhawks.

While the Jayhawks lead most of the game the Huskers never let up and there was not a point where the game was out of hand for the big red. The stats show how close Nebraska played KU. The Huskers did better than the Jayhawks in areas you would not normally expect.

Nebraka shot 52% from the floor while Kansas only had 44%. These are not numbers you would expect form a losing team. Rebounds were close as KU had 21 while NU had 20. Turnovers were also neck to neck with Kansas having 8 and the Huskers 7.
