As has been the Black Friday Tradition for the past 9 years, Nebraska will be playing Iowa in the Heroes Game this Friday.
The Huskers head to Iowa City after a 23-41 loss to Illinois in Lincoln last week. This was a game in which Nebraska was favored by two touchdowns, but things just seemed to fall apart from the very first play and the Huskers were never able to recover.
Iowa is coming into the game riding a 3 game winning streak after defeating Penn State 41-21 in Happy Valley. Iowa brings a solid defense that has allowed just 16 points a game this season.
The Hawkeyes are led by Quarterback Spencer Petras who has 945 yards passing on the year and three touchdowns. Tyler Goodson and Mekhi Sargent each have six rushing touchdowns on the year.

“The Big Ten is a run-first league. We got some of the biggest offensive lineman, biggest tight ends, big fullbacks and talented running backs across the whole league. So you got to be sound in your run fits. You got to play more physical than them on defense and you got to get them out of their game plan, what they want to do to you, which is run the ball vertically down your throat. We struggled with the stretch in the past, so it’s really just the whole run game. Being able to stop and adjust to anything that they’re giving us and that we’re able to punch them back.”
