Nebraska Picks Up Key Series Win Over Arizona State With 8-5 Win Sunday

Huskers NCAA Tournament prospects looking up

The Nebraska baseball team (26-19, 13-8 Big Ten) secured a series victory over the 20th ranked Arizona State Sun Devils with a 8-5 win. Reece Eddins was shaky early before settling in, while Shay Schanaman picked up his third save of the year.

The Sun Devils came out aggressive early against Eddins. After a first pitch out, ASU got back to back hits from Spencer Torkleson and Hunter Bishop. Bishop was thrown out stealing by Luke Roskam for the second out. After a walk to Alika Williams extended the inning, Roskam threw out Williams to end the first.

Cam Chick put the Huskers on the board first. He took a Sam Romero breaking ball and hammered it over the ASU bullpen in right for a solo home run.
