Nebraska News: Cornhusker Football Ugly Wins Are Still Wins (but Volleyball Continues to Win Pretty)

Happy Monday!

I imagine most of you were like me on Saturday. I was pretty sure the Matt Rhule Year Two Improvement trend had met its match in the Husker Curse.

Then, the second half happened. The coaching staff challenged the team to play basic football. The team answered the challenge.

Or, the coaching staff gave up and said “to hell with it. Just run the damn ball if they aren’t going to do what we’ve coached them to do.”

Or, something else entirely transpired. I don’t know. Whatever it was, it worked. Nebraska looked like a team ready to play real football. The game was won. Nebraska lives to gain bowl eligibility another day.
