Nebraska Leads Northwestern 13-7 At Half

Nebraska started on offense, appeared to be doing well, but picked up a false start on Bo Wilson, then a holding call on Bryce Benhart after Adrian Martinez picked up a first down running. The two penalties were a driver killer.

Drake Anderson scored on a beautifully executed 41-yard counter play. The lead blocker took out Nebraska defenders, and the two remaining defenders who had a shot at Anderson didn’t stop him. Key play on the drive – the Wildcats went for it on a fourth and 1, which they easily converted.

Scoring Drive: 7 plays, 80 yards, 02:43

Our beloved Huskers put together a drive the Wildcats would be proud of. 14 plays, 53 yards. Went for it twice on fourth down. Rushed the ball nine times for 24 yards.

Connor Culp made a 38-yard field goal.

Scoring Drive: 14 plays, 53 yards, 05:33

Culp kicked another field goal, this one from 34 yards to put our beloved Huskers within one point of those stinky Wildcats.

The drive started after Myles Farmer made his first career interception when a Peyton Ramsey pass was short and broken up my Marquel Dismuke.

Nebraska’s drive started well, with a 28-yard reception to Marcus Fleming, and then a 13-yard run by Adrian Martinez. After that, a lousy gain by Dedrick Mills, then two incompletions by Martinez.

Scoring Drive: 6 plays, 34 yards, 01:57

Myles Farmer intercepted a Ramsey pass, then returned it to the three yard line. Mills took the ball up the middle, stretching it over the goal line for a dramatic, “won’t be denied”, touchdown!

Scoring Drive: 1 plays, 3 yards, 00:07
