Nebraska football’s annual Spring Game

Good morning from Memorial Stadium, where it’s almost time for the Nebraska football team to show what they’ve been working on in their second spring camp under coach Matt Rhule.

Of course, much of the attention will be focused on the quarterback, particularly the freshmen: Dylan Raiola and Daniel Kaelin. Rhule’s title for the game — “Red-White Shootout” — did nothing to damper the intrigue surrounding the QBs and offense in general.

Follow along with us below. The action begins at 11 a.m., and is televised on Big Ten Network.

(Refresh for the latest updates!)

1:08 p.m. That’ll do it. White team wins 25-21. Thanks for following along! Let the takes begin ….

12:59 p.m. Both teams just lined up and ran sprints — “gassers” — after Alvano’s field goal. Damon Benning says on the radio he thinks it’s a tribute to past teams, which traditionally ran sprints after scrimmages.
