Nebraska Football Recruiting: Huskers Snag Commit from 6’7” German Offensive Tackle Huskers News


Well here is another Matt Rhule special.

Goes to a camp.

Finds a player who isn’t ready to play division 1 football. In fact, he hasn’t played organized football in over two years.

But has a frame. Has a level of athleticism that meets their criteria.

Oh ya, and has zero recruiting stars and is just starting to get division 1 offers.

This is the Matt Rhule special to an extreme.

Welcome David Hoffken to the 2025 Nebraska recruiting class as he committed right on the spot when the Huskers made him the offer. The Nebraska coaching staff watched him participate in camps in both Belton and Houston.

Hoffken certainly has the frame at 6’7” with a seven foot wingspan. His broad jump is 9’4” as well. Seems like one of the guys that is so raw that he could be a day one draft pick in four years or could be a complete bust.

I am sure after the recruiting services catch up on this guy he will get three stars but as of right now he is unrated.

Count me intrigued.
