The Huskers, coming off a 5-7 season, is tied for 34th overall in the list, with the same number of points as Memphis and just ahead of Wisconsin, which received 15 points. Iowa starts the season at No. 25. One of NU’s non-conference opponents, Colorado, received a single 25th place vote in the poll. Overall, Nebraska plays five teams — OSU, USC, Iowa, Wisconsin and CU — that received votes in the preseason poll.
Last week, Nebraska received two points in the preseason coaches poll.
