Three seasoned Nebraska football players will join coach Matt Rhule when the Huskers appear on July 24 at Big Ten Media Days.
Defensive tackle Ty Robinson, safety Isaac Gifford and center Ben Scott have been selected to represent the team at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the Big Ten announced Thursday .
To accommodate 18 teams, the Big Ten is moving to a three-day format for the event, which will be held July 23, 24 and 25 at the Colts’ NFL stadium.
On Wednesday, July 24, Rhule and NU players will appear alongside reps from Iowa, Michigan State, Penn State, UCLA and USC.
Each is making their first appearance at the event. Robinson, a sixth-year senior who graduated more than a year ago, has started 34 games and emerged as a vocal leader for the defense and specifically the line, ranked one of the nation’s best by preseason magazine guru Phil Steele.
Gifford, a fifth-year senior, has started 22 games over his career. He’s a graduate of Lincoln Southeast and led the team with 86 tackles last season from the rover/split safety position.
Scott transferred from Arizona State before the 2023 season. He started 28 games with the Sun Devils and 11 last season with the Huskers. He, like Robinson, is a sixth-year senior.
