Nebraska Football: JUCO Defensive Back Will Jackson Leaves Program.

#Processing is already in effect

Struggling to learn the playbook and subsequently buried on the depth chart, JUCO cornerback Will Jackson has decided to leave the Cornhusker football program.

Jackson has had a bit of a circuitous football career thus far. Originally a two star recruit signed with Kentucky, he was dismissed from their program due to a “violation of team rules”. Off he went to Mesa Community College in Arizona, where he had a serviceable 2 seasons. A late edition to the roster, Jackson signed with the Huskers this June. Defensive Coordinator Erik Chinander criticized his production during camp thus far, calling him a “slow blinker” – the kiss of death on a Frost-coached team.

Originally the biggest liability on the team, the defensive backfield personnel had a good summer and have stepped up their performance. Jackson, seeing he was not going to break into the two-deep, decided to move on. We wish him the best of luck in his future career.
