Nebraska Football: Huskers Snag Transfer Commit from Former USC Cornerback Huskers News Matt Rhule Evan Cooper


Matt Rhule continues to add to the Nebraska football roster. Today he ended up adding a former four star recruit who started 11 games in 2022 at USC in Ceyair Wright.

In 2023, Ceyair left the USC team during the season before officially entering the transfer portal in April of 2024.

He will have two seasons of eligibility left and will be considered a graduate transfer.

Rhule has always said that he wants to look at his own roster first and that you only take a transfer if you think he will make an immediate impact. He does not appear to be as interested in taking kids through the portal that will require a bunch of development.

There must have been a connection between Ceyair Wright and Evan Cooper because Nebraska was the only team that was talked about in regards to Wright’s interest and recruitment.

Here’s hoping he is an immediate impact player.
