Nebraska Football: Huskers Bring the Hammer with New 2025 Offensive Lineman Commit Matt Rhule News Shawn Hammerbeck

Matt Rhule and Co. bring the hammer with new commit from Shawn Hammerbeck from South Dakota.

Hammerbeck is 6’6” and 250 pounds and apparently can play either offensive or defensive line but looks like he will be joining Donovan Raiola’s group as an offensive lineman. In fact, he played tight end in high school but looks like he’s ready to protect the blindside of a future Nebraska quarterback.

Hammerbeck is the number one player in South Dakota and is currently a three star prospect which may trend toward a four star.

The other schools he picked Nebraska over were Texas Tech, Kansas State and Minnesota.

This would be considered the 15th commit in the 2025 class which might not get over 20 in terms of class size. He is the third offensive line prospect in the class along with Brian Tapu (Utah) and Houston Kaahaaina-Torres (Hawaii).

Oh, and he’s from Winner, South Dakota. That has to mean something.
