Nebraska Cornhuskers Men’s Basketball 6 B1G+ Games Start Time Announced

The Nebraska Cornhuskers begin exhibition play just two weeks from tomorrow when Peru State visits Pinnacle Bank Arena. That game, along with five other games early this season, including the charity exhibition game against old Big 8 foe Colorado, will be broadcast via the Big Ten’s streaming platform B1G+.

Thanks to the announcement made late this afternoon, Husker fans now know the start time to five of those games not previously announced. The Colorado game has been scheduled for 11 a.m. central time on Sunday, Oct. 31, but the other five games were listed at TBA when tv network information was released on Tuesday last week.

In addition to the two exhibition games against Peru State and Colorado, the Huskers kick off the season officially against Western Illinois on Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.

Sam Houston comes to town later that week on Friday night. With the football team on a bye week that week, the 7:30 p.m. start time shouldn’t keep anybody out too late anyways despite the lack of need to wake up for a football 11 a.m. kickoff the next morning.

For fans not making the trip to Madison on Saturday, Nov. 20 then be sure to come out or tune in for the 6 p.m. tip against Idaho State on Friday, Nov. 19.

Finally, Saturday Nov. 27 against South Dakota will be a 1 p.m. tipoff. Since the Huskers cling to a “tradition” of playing football on Black Friday despite that “tradition” dating to just the 90s, and like to ignore the fact the half of the country that actually gets Black Friday off work prefer to do enjoyable things with that day instead of watching Iowa play football, the five Husker hoops fans out there in the world do not have to miss a Husker football game as a result of this 1 p.m. tipoff. However, they will miss seeing Jim Harbaugh find yet another way to lose to Ohio State in the second half (if the game is still even competitive by halftime) of “The Game.”
