Nebraska Comes From Behind, Defeats Penn State 3-2

A three run sixth inning propelled the Nebraska baseball team to a 3-2 victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions. Keegan Watson had a key two run home run, while Matt Waldron was steady on the mound for Nebraska.

Penn State took an early lead on the Huskers. The Nittany Lions managed to get out of a two on jam in the top half of the first, before scoring a pair of runs in the home half.

Matt Waldron would give up four singles. The Nittany Lions would manage to find holes in the defense as none of the balls were particularly well hit. Waldron would get his first strikeout of the day to strand a pair of runners.

Nebraska would put runners on in both the third and fifth innings. The Huskers worked Sal Biasi hard in the third inning. Spencer Schwellenbach worked a thirteen pitch walk in the third. After Aaron Palensky followed with another walk, the Huskers were unable to score either.
