Nebraska Baseball Splits Doubleheader Against Ohio State

Huskers drop suspended opener before taking nightcap.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers Baseball team split a doubleheader against the Ohio State Buckeyes Saturday afternoon. The Huskers lost the resumed game from Friday evening 9-7, while picking up a 3-1 victory in the nightcap.

Nebraska had a 5-2 lead last night when the rain came to Columbus. The Huskers had been receiving stellar pitching from Jake Hohensee who had not allowed a hit in the first three innings. The offense was on track, scoring five runs in the first four innings and the Huskers looked to be cruising.

When the game resumed this afternoon, Matt Waldron took over for Hohensee and got the Buckeyes down in order in the fourth.
