Nebraska Baseball Shuts Down Creighton In 6-3 Victory

The Nebraska Baseball team (12-7, 3-0 Big Ten) defeated the Creighton Bluejays (11-6, 0-0 Big East) by a score of 6-3. Nebraska got a good effort out of Kyle Perry and the bullpen while six different Huskers drove in runs.

The Jays took an early lead after the Huskers were set down in order in the first. Creighton used back to back doubles to jump out to a 1-0 lead. Perry settled down and got the Huskers out of the inning with the deficit only at one.

Nebraska responded in the second. The Huskers got back to back doubles from Gunner Hellstrom and Angelo Altavilla to tie the score at one. Cam Chick reached on an error that score Altavilla from third to give the Huskers a 2-1 lead.

The Huskers extended their lead to 5-1 in the third. Joe Acker and Aaron Palensky led off the inning with a pair of hits. Mojo Hagge grounded out to score Acker from third. Guner Hellstrom and Keegan Watson had RBI hits to extend the inning to 5-1.
