Nebraska a 10-seed, Playing Michigan Thursday in Big Ten Tournament

Husker women’s basketball did enough to not have to play in the opening games Wednesday, but still ended as a double digit seed in the Big Ten Conference Tournament.

Nebraska (17-12, 7-11 Big Ten) will play the 7-seed Michigan (19-10, 10-8 Big Ten) at 5:30 p.m. (CT) March 5 in Indianapolis. The Huskers were victorious in the only meeting between the two teams this season, a 74-71 win in Lincoln.

A win Thursday would pit Nebraska against the 2-seed and No. 14 nationally Northwestern (26-3, 16-2 Big Ten) on Friday. The Huskers are not projected as an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, so they will have to win the conference tournament in order to earn a bid.

The Big Ten Tournament runs through March 8.
