Ndamukong Suh and Jordan Hooper are among the six-member Nebraska Athletics 2024 Hall of Fame class, announced Thursday.
The football star and women’s basketball icon are joined by Carl Myerscough (men’s track, 2000-04), Virginia Stahr (volleyball, 1986-89), Mary Weatherholt (women’s tennis, 2009-13) and Emily Wong (women’s gymnastics, 2011-14).
The group will be inducted in a ceremony on Oct. 4, the day before Nebraska football’s homecoming game against Rutgers.
Suh, of course, is one of the dominant defensive linemen in the history of college football. He went on to enjoy an impressive NFL career, which includes five Pro Bowl selections, a Super Bowl ring and a Rookie of the Year award in 2010.
Hooper, from Alliance, had her No. 35 jersey retired in the rafters of Pinnacle Bank Arena in January. She was a three-time All-American at Nebraska and played professionally in the WNBA and overseas.

Myerscough is the most decorated thrower in Nebraska track history. He is a four-time NCAA champion and competed for his native Great Britain in the 2012 Olympics.
Stahr, from Waco, was a two-time All-American, including in 1989, when she was named the Big Eight player of the year. Stahr played on two NCAA runner-up teams.
Weatherholt remains the only Nebraska women’s tennis player to be the conference player of the year and a singles All-American. She remains the program leader in combined wins and singles wins — both in a single season and across a career.
Wong is the most crowned conference champion in the history of Nebraska women’s gymnastics — her nine individual conference titles stand as a program record. She was the Big Ten gymnast of the year in 2014 and led the Huskers to a conference title in each of her four seasons.
