NCAA Football 2025 – It is just OK

Things that aren't in the game and I miss from the old games:

  1. Mass Subs – When you are blowing a team out, it was cool to put in the second team and get them some playing time. With the transfer portal, it would help with that "Playing time" metric. I don't want to spend 20 minutes changing the depth chart in game.

  2. Trophy Room – It was a fun grind to try to collect all the trophies you could. I'd play Missouri just to get the Bell and all the bowl trophies. Not even sure the Bell is in the game…

  3. Create a prospect – I get that they have legal name and likeness requirements, but that was a fun part of the game, trying to recruit that player, even if you missed…

  4. The recruiting – It is weird, hard to know what, why and how it works. It is slow to toggle around to get all the info you need… Makes you want to turn on the CPU recruiting.

I do enjoy that LP's name made it as a great running back during the game, but could use a little less Trev mentions at the moment.

The game has some real bugs right now, players just stand around and wait to be tackled in some cases. I hope EA fixes it up. The kicking game is full busted in Dynasty mode, I have to go in and toggle the kicking game option before trying to kick to get it to work.

Maybe it is just me, but I played one Dynasty season and am kinda over it. I'll see what updates EA makes in the coming weeks, but right now, it is an OK game, but it is missing just enough of the old NCAA Football games to make it less fun. I always liked Dynasty mode, but without a trophy room to collect all the trophies, it lost something. I used to play years of Dynasty mode.

I realize it is not released yet and there are a lot of updates coming. I hope they address the majority of these. I was hoping for a little more of the old game I guess.
