Stanley Morgan broke a school record with 986 receiving yards in 2017. That total also ranked second in the Big Ten.

Morgan led the conference this year in touchdown receptions (10), receiving yards per game (89.6) and 100-yard receiving games (5). He ranked third in the league with total receptions (61).

While a compelling argument could be made for first-team, Morgan earned second-team All-Big Ten honors on Wednesday from both the Big Ten coaches and media panel.

RFr. WR J.D. Spielman was a third-team selection by the media, while Jr. LT Nick Gates and Jr. LG Jerald Foster were honorable mention choices.

Spielman ranked third in the Big Ten this season with 75.5 receiving yards per game. His 830 receiving yards and 55 receptions were both single-season freshmen records at Nebraska.

His 1,499 all-purpose yards was also a single-season record for freshmen at NU.

Spielman was also an honorable mention selection by the Big Ten for special teams on Tuesday. His 669 kick return yards ranked ninth in the conference in 2017.

Foster and Gates started every game this season. This marks the second straight year that Gates has received all-conference honors.

Sr. PK Drew Brown and Sr. WR De’Mornay Pierson-El also earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors for special teams on Tuesday. Sr. LB Chris Weber was Nebraska’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner.
