Head Coach Scott Frost and Husker football players met with members of the media over video conference following practice Monday to preview this week’s matchup against Minnesota. The Huskers face Minnesota at 11 a.m. (CT) in Memorial Stadium for the final scheduled home game of the season.
 
Nebraska and Minnesota meet for the 61st time in series history on Saturday, the most Nebraska has played against any Big Ten opponent. Nebraska owns a 12-9 record over the Gophers in Lincoln and a 5-4 edge as Big Ten foes.
 
The Gophers return to action for the first time in 22 days on Saturday, last defeating Purdue, 34-31, on Nov. 20 before canceling their following two games due to COVID-19 protocols. Minnesota boasts an explosive offense which features running back Ibrahim Mohamed who leads the Big Ten in rushing and scoring, averaging 163.4 yards and 15.6 points per game.
 
Ahead of Saturday’s contest, the Huskers will honor 17 members of the senior class. The class has combined for 246 starts at Nebraska, led by offensive linemen Brenden Jaimes (39) and Matt Farniok (34).
 
Television coverage for Saturday’s game will be provided by FS1 or Big Ten Network and radio coverage will be provided by the Husker Sports Network.
