Head Coach Scott Frost and Husker football players met with members of the media over video conference on Monday to preview the Iowa game. The Huskers and Hawkeyes meet in Iowa City on Friday with kickoff set for Noon CT.

Despite the adjusted college football season this year, the annual Black Friday meeting between Nebraska and Iowa continues for the 10th straight season as the teams battle for the Heroes Trophy. Nebraska carries on its tradition of playing on the Friday after Thanksgiving for the 31st consecutive year.

Entering Friday’s game, the Huskers own a 10-8 edge over the Hawkeyes in Iowa City and a 2-2 record in Kinnick Stadium on the day after Thanksgiving. Nebraska looks to pick up its second win of the season and first over Iowa since 2014.

Iowa most recently picked up a 41-21 victory over Penn State last weekend to improve to 3-2 on the season. The Hawkeyes, receiving votes in the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls, boast a defense that ranks in the top 20 nationally in rushing defense, pass efficiency defense, total defense and scoring defense.

The Black Friday contest will be televised on FOX with radio coverage by the Husker Sports Network.
