Its been awhile since I did an analytical look at something regarding Husker sports but the QB battle gave me a good idea. In this article, I take a look at how good of a start Martinez and McCaffrey are off to this season compared to Martinez the last two seasons and other Big Ten QBs this year. I think Martinez was actually playing pretty good football but was hampered by some of the play calling. The advanced numbers show that he’s playing pretty good football when he’s on the field. Of course with an athlete like Luke McCaffrey we need to get him on the field as well.
